What is OPUS?
OPUS is a laser designed for skin resurfacing. Skin resurfacing is the most dramatic non-surgical procedure to repair and renew the skin to address a wide range of skin concerns. Fractional-based skin resurfacing is the modern method that involves creating a pattern of microscopic injuries to a fraction of the skin. This stimulates a natural wound healing response exciting the skin to repair itself.
What to Expect:
Opus Plasma is a quick 15-20 minute outpatient treatment that leads to minimal redness and minimal inconvenience time for the patient. Opus plasma required 50% less downtime when compared to another fractional laser. A topical anesthetic is used leading to minimal pain during the procedure. A clinical study has shown that Opus Plasma required 50% less downtime when compared to a fractional skin resurfacing technology using a laser. Most will experience 24-48 hours of mild to moderate redness and swelling-not significant to interfere with your daily activities. Noticeable improvements can be seen after the first treatment but 2-3 sessions may be recommended for optimal results. A yearly maintenance treatment is usually performed to continue looking your very best.
Who is a good candidate?
Any patient that is looking to improve the texture and tone of their skin and aid in the tightening of the skin on the face and neck.
